Actually, Fallon didn’t devise this. It’s a rip-off of a piece by Kozyndan: http://www.kozyndan.com/assets/Usa_chan.jpg
Fallon/Passion Pictures, who made the ad, actually requested artistic samples, including that artwork, from Kozyndan a couple of years before creating the ad. Nice bit of scrapbook recycling there.
