I am Tom Kelshaw. I live in Sydney, Australia. I work with the Internet. I can read French but not speak it, and argue about a taxi fare in Portuguese. I like wine, the internet, film, snowboarding and electro music.
“Portland fire officials estimate 60,000 people are packed inside the park proper and another 10-15,000 are watching outside the gates. Spectators are lining the bridge behind Obama and watching, bikini-clad, from boats on the river.”
It’s no secret that i dig this guy’s style, and it seems like most of Oregon do too. He’s going to dominate that thing, Oregon is so left-wing it’s known as “California’s Canada”. Good people there.
Oh, that 75,000 figure is about 20,000 more than the amount of people who saw the pope in Yankee Stadium, inside and out.
“I was there at the beginning of House music, and I’ll be here at the end of House music”. No but seriously, a 3 year-old kid dancing to a terrible old jackin’ house track is pretty rad.

Winter approaches.
Hello hoodies, so long, shorts.
Wardrobe migration.
“Drug rings have occasionally sold cocaine mixed with candy powder, but investigators said the new product was significantly more sophisticated and lucrative. Cocaine cut with an added flavoring is less potent, but the 1½ pounds seized last month were a full-strength powder into which strawberry, coconut, lemon and cinnamon flavoring had been chemically synthesized.”
Everyone loves the music and banter on Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto radio stations. And apparently the new Grand Theft Auto IV game will allow you to call up the “radio station” from your character’s in-game cellphone, and “request the name of that track”. Then, the good folks at Amazon MP3 (in real life) will email you (or SMS to your real mobile) details about buying the song from Amazon’s DRM-free music store. Cute idea.

I am a fan of vocoders, for the most part. I mean, where would Daft Punk be without vocoders (and Moroder, moreover)? BUT, there’s a terrifying trend in the Hip-Hop R&B crossover scene where vocalists like Akon and T-Pain seem to be using it just a tad too often.
THOUGHT: Maybe it’s so their tracks translate easily to ringtones for extended sales?

“We are the World” performed by Japanese impersonators. Insane.

Yeah, so we just got Guitar Hero III for Xbox360. And we make it to the last “level” (you play in Hell, natch) and as a reward you get to play to Mettalica’s “One”. Arguably one of the best songs ever recorded. Mammoth metal track.
Anyway it’s basically impossible on anything but Easy mode, unless you’re Steve Vai, Ynqie Malmsteen, Kirk Hammet or THIS GUY.
Boston Dynamics labs have released a video of their “Big Dog” automaton (robot). Thing walks like a mountain-goat and will surely devour us all once it become self-aware.
